Wishlist: Florida Edition

As I may have mentioned previously, in October, 4 of my friends and I are going on a VERY exciting holiday to Orlando in Florida. We've had it booked for quite a long time now, but as it is drawing closer and closer (where is this year going?!), i'm finding myself browsing the shops online for ideas on what to wear.

As we will be spending most days wandering around theme parks, a good pair of denim shorts are essential. I really like the colour of these denim shorts from Topshop, they are quite bright and I can imagine they will look great with an array of coloured tops. I think this playsuit from Topshop will also work really well for walking around the parks but also perfect to throw over a bikini when visiting the water parks that Orlando has to offer! I think I will get good use out of this playsuit in the UK too as I imagine it'll look great on a night out with a pair of heels.

Next up is this gorgeous dress from Zara. I've seen another girl wearing this on a blog (sorry, I can't remember who it was!) and I thought it looked really nice and it is very different to other dresses I currently own. This dress will be nice to wear if we are going out for a nice meal on an evening in Orlando, the baggy fit of the dress will also be flattering for after I have eaten far too many American sized meals!

I also really like this tailored strappy playsuit from Topshop. I have a few other playsuits from previous years in this kind of style and I find them to be really flattering on my figure. As I am on the short side, I usually find playsuits to be more flattering on my figure than dresses - dresses usually tend to be far too long for me and I end up looking like i'm wearing a tent. At £46 it is quite expensive for just a basic black playsuit but I know that it will be a staple in my wardrobe for years to come. Lastly I love this gorgeous neon messenger bag from Zara. Since receiving my Cambridge Satchel for my birthday I am loving carrying around smaller bags instead of my usual oversized handbags. I will get a lot of wear out of this day and night in the UK and it will be perfect for using at times in Orlando when we aren't wandering around the theme parks, unfortunately I don't think it is very themepark friendly!

Let me know what you think of these items, I will definitely be picking up a few of these things when I get paid next week!

Cambridge Satchel Company: Sweet Pea

Cambridge satchel.... meet my blog.
Blog.... meet my new favourite thing - my very own Cambridge Satchel.

Like most girls, I have A LOT of handbags, but there will always be room in my wardrobe for one more little one. Most of the bags I have are big handbags (mostly from Zara, oops), but a satchel was one kind of bag that I didn't have (justifiable, right?!). Ever since Cambridge Satchel's came onto the market I was ummming and ahhing about getting one, but I could never decide on what colour I wanted to get. This was until the Chelsea Collection came out to play. The Chelsea collection features 4 gorgeous colours which are all perfect for Spring/Summer - Cream Crocus, Honeysuckle, Lavender and Sweet Pea. As soon as I set my eyes on Sweet Pea I knew it was the one for me. All 4 colours come in both 11 inch and 13 inch, I decided to go for 13 inch as I am guilty of usually carrying quite a lot of stuff around in my bag. Size wise, I am really glad I opted for the 13 inch and not the 11 inch like I was originally going to purchase. I find the 13 inch to be the perfect size, I usually manage to fit in my keys and phone in the front pocket, and then my purse, make-up bag and sunglasses in the main section.

The satchel is such a lovely soft leather and comes with a strap which is perfect for day-time wear, but personally I can't wait to use it on an evening as a clutch. I decided to get my initials engraved onto it to make it a little bit more personalized and special. To make the bag a little bit more cool, the leather supplier that Cambridge Satchel use for their bags originates in Hull, which is my hometown and it is always nice to support a local business.

What do you guys think of my new bag?!

May Favourites

I literally cannot believe that it is now the 1st of June, nearly half way through the year.. time is just flying by at a rapid pace! Over the past month I have gathered quite a few new things into my collection, which are now firm favourites of mine.

In May I turned 22 (eek!) and I received these gorgeous Nike Free Run 3.0 Trainers off of my Dad. I LOVE the colour of them and they are so so comfy in comparison to my other pair of gym trainers. They are so light (when I got them out of the box I couldn't quite believe it), the only issue is that I haven't seemed to quite master the art of running in them yet - as they are so light I have the tendancy to be really heavy footed with them on, this sure does get some stares whilst in the gym so its an issue I need to solve ASAP!

My next piece is a new make-up favourite, the L'Oreal False Lash Telescopic mascara. I tend to be quite picky with mascaras but after hearing a lot of people talking about this mascara I picked it up whilst it was on 3 for 2 in Superdrug. I have to say this mascara is a massive rival to Benefit They're Real mascara and the Rimmel Lash Accelerator mascara, both of which I love.

To remove this mascara it's vital to have a good make-up remover. I've been a lover of the ever so popular Bioderma since around January time, however at around £13-£15 a bottle it was getting a little pricey for my liking. I've read various reviews about the L'Oreal Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Solution so off I trotted to the shops to hunt it down. I actually found it in Morrisons and it was on offer for £2. In my opinion it's exactly like Bioderma and a lot more purse friendly - what more can a girl want?

For my birthday I also received this gorgeous Coconut candle. I've been burning this ever since I received it and it fills the room with such a gorgeous coconut scent, but it isn't overpowering at the same time. The candle is also HUGE, meaning it will last a while - a win-win situation in my eyes. Another scent I've been loving is the Black Amber perfume from ZARA. One of my best friends got this perfume as a gift and I've ever since I smelt it I have been meaning to pick it up. I couldn't believe how cheap it is, at £4.99 its the perfect perfume to wear everyday if you are cautious about wasting more expensive perfumes (it's also a great size to throw in your handbag)!

Lastly I have been loving my trusty tortoise-shell Ray Ban's. Even though the weather hasn't been that great here recently, we have had the odd sunny day which means my sunglasses have come out to play.

Hope you enjoyed my May favourites. I've now finished University forever so I have a lot of spare time on my hands to do some more blogging, yay!

Nail Varnish Storage: The Jar

Recently I was left feeling very inspired after reading a post on Nouvelle Daily about how to store nail varnishes - click here to read that post!

Nouvelle Daily had posted about a gorgeous glass jar from Wilkinsons which they had used to store nail varnishes. After reading this post I had decided that I wanted to find some suitable storage to put my wide array of nail varnishes in, as up until this point my collection was left sat in a cupboard.

As I was pottering around my house yesterday I noticed this jar sat in a cupboard in the dining room, as it currently wasn't being used I decided it'd be a new great home for a selection of my nail varnishes. This jar will holds around 20 polishes but for now I am just going to put my favourites in it and switch them around regulary.

Many thanks to Nouvelle Daily for the inspiration. Do you guys have any other recommendations about ways to store your nail varnishes?
